Job Summary:

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Powell River. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, providing support to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Nurse to care for patients with unpredictable outcomes.
  • Provide care under the direction of an RN for patients requiring advanced knowledge and skill.
  • Maintain and advance clinical competence in accordance with the standards of practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work and operate related equipment.
