Job Summary:

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Wililingdon Creek Village in Powell River, BC. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, providing support to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Nurse to care for patients with unpredictable outcomes.
  • Provide practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes, including activities such as assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting client care.
  • Maintain and advance clinical competence pursuant to the standards of practice of BCCNM for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
