About Bombardier Defense

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as the engineering and project focal point for missionized aircraft during the bidding and proposal phases within Bombardier Defense.
- Act as the engineering representative in relation to programs and interface with client technical/program office representatives and suppliers.
- Develop timelines, milestones, and budget estimates for technical activities to fulfill customer requirements.
- Lead and facilitate the engagement of multidisciplinary stakeholders to address technical challenges, risks, and obstacles.
- Ensure the harmonization of all technical activities and timely delivery of all requirements.
- Coordinate engineering resources to implement the plan while identifying risks and resolving issues.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders (customers, management, team members, resources, suppliers) to ensure alignment and coordination.
- Be accountable for the submission of all deliverables.
- Manage schedules and facilitate key milestone activities in support of programs/projects (both internal and external).
- Engage and coordinate supplier activities during the bidding phase.
Qualifications for Success
- A bachelor's degree in engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical engineering and/or project management within the aerospace sector, ideally in the technical engineering disciplines mentioned.
- Strong understanding and relevant experience in aircraft product development from conceptual design to certification.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to effectively align and influence stakeholders.
- Proficient communication skills to ensure timely and clear information sharing across teams and functional areas.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel for generating presentations at various organizational levels. Strong skills in MS Project are also required.
- Solid technical knowledge of aircraft, with preferred expertise in special mission equipment.
- Familiarity with ITAR regulations and experience in government and/or military flight operations is an asset.
- Eligibility to view and handle ITAR materials.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work extended hours as necessary.
