Job Title: Community Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Comox Valley area. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with a diverse group of funders to assist clients with a range of limitations.

Job Summary:

This position involves working with a diverse group of funders to assist clients with a range of limitations. Health populations and case mix can be customized based on your interest and experience. Duties include functional assessments, job site visits, and development of graduated activity and/or graduated return to work plans, as well as liaising with the client's healthcare team and payer representative.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct functional assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized plans
  • Visit clients in their homes and workplaces to assess their environments and provide recommendations for modifications
  • Develop and implement graduated activity and/or graduated return to work plans to help clients achieve their goals
  • Liaise with clients' healthcare teams and payer representatives to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Use exceptional communication and clinical skills to deliver outcomes that change people's lives
Requirements:
  • Current membership in the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
