Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at FGF Brands. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of Human Resources for all Team Members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Manufacturing, Team Members, and Talent and Development to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee all agency communications and assist Site Leaders, Operations Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Team Leaders with Team Member employee relations.
  • Communicate FGF policies, protocol, and new initiatives to agencies and ensure compliance.
  • Review resumes and coordinate interviews with Agencies and Operation Leaders to ensure Key Role Candidates have the required skill set, availability, and attitude to work within the appropriate plant.
  • Work closely with Operations Leaders and T&D to determine current and upcoming Staffing needs.
  • Track and monitor all temp agency orders and provide feedback and clarification to agencies regarding candidates interviewed.
  • Gather feedback from agencies on an ongoing basis and summarize challenges to create an ops/agency action plan for continuous improvement.
  • Manage and oversee all training required documentation for Key Roles and manage/document Training Incentive Program Tracker as required with Operations Manager per plant.
  • Problem solve and trouble shoot any issues or challenges in conjunction with all key stakeholders.
  • Actively participate as a Health & Safety advocate as required.
  • Oversee any Team Member payroll issues to ensure they are resolved.
  • Manage the daily payroll approval process for production Team Members and manage the Time and Attendance system for hourly plant staff.
  • Set up new Team Members in the Time and Attendance system.
  • Assist with T&D/Operations projects as assigned and cover off for other Site Coordinators as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience in Human Resources, in a Manufacturing Environment or Warehouse.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation specific to Ontario, including the Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Good understanding/working knowledge of HR policies/procedures and employee relations.
  • Proven competency in the operation of key office software and productivity tools, including MS Office suite of tools and HRIS.
  • Experience/knowledge of WSIB.
  • Valid driver's license required.
