Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Manager to join our team at Tim Hortons. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting our high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers, newcomers, and refugees.
  • Employee Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities and youth.
  • Business Operations: Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer feedback, and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service or restaurant management role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
