Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at KOTDATTA FRAMING LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials.

Work Environment

The Carpenter will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to heights, noise, dust, and outdoor conditions. The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Surveying building locations and levels
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
