About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Painting Contractor to lead our team at IG Painting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the painting process, ensuring high-quality results, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and schedule painting activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 painters and decorators, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent workmanship.
  • Material Management: Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Personnel Management: Recruit, hire, and train new team members, as well as recommend personnel actions when necessary.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, and plan painting projects to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in painting and decorating, with a proven track record of success.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, with occasional work in commercial, residential, restoration, and shopwork settings.
  • Work Setting: Commercial, residential, restoration, and shopwork environments.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
