Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled attorney with five to seven years of legal experience to become part of our proficient in-house legal team. This position will operate in a hybrid model, with responsibilities shared between the corporate headquarters and remote work. This is a fixed-term role intended to cover parental leave, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal counsel on a wide array of corporate and commercial issues, including procurement, construction, leasing, land acquisitions, supply agreements, sales, mergers, financing, and intellectual property matters.
  • Collaborating with project teams to deliver legal and strategic insights while evaluating risks associated with stakeholder relationships.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in contract negotiation and drafting, complemented by a practical, results-driven mindset and strong interpersonal communication abilities. Experience in a leading law firm, along with prior in-house exposure, is highly desirable. While not mandatory, proficiency in French would be an advantageous asset for this position.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant should hold a law degree and be a member of, or eligible for membership in, the Law Society of British Columbia.

Travel Requirements:

This role may involve some domestic and US travel to regional offices and operational sites as necessary to support business activities.
