Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy and Implementation
    • Develop and execute a technology roadmap that aligns with marketing strategies and business objectives.

  • Data Management and Analytics

    • Oversee the development, deployment, and integration of marketing software applications and tools.
    • Collaborate with IT and software development teams to ensure that marketing technologies align with broader tech architecture and business goals.
    • Manage the software development lifecycle for marketing technologies, from requirement gathering and design to implementation and maintenance.
    • Lead and expand a team of data analysts, marketing technologists, and software specialists.
    • Foster a data-driven culture within the marketing team and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Contribute to the overall business strategy by providing insights derived from data analysis.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
    • Report on marketing operations performance to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Monitor changes in the regulatory landscape relevant to marketing data and technology.
    • Ensure all marketing practices comply with laws and ethical standards concerning data use.
    • Manage risks related to digital marketing practices and data security.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering and/or software development
  • At least 2 years of experience at a senior leadership level (director or above)
  • University or college degree in software development, Business Analytics, or a related discipline
  • An understanding of trends in the digital marketing and ad buying space; a plus if you have exposure to programmatic advertising
  • You are intimately familiar with technologies ranging from Adverity, Grow, and Tableau to create data visualizations and leverage them to their full capabilities for recommendations, insights & monitoring
  • Experience with Looker Studio would be a great asset
