Position Overview

Vantix Systems Inc is looking for up to two (2) experienced Business Analysts to contribute to the Data Management Program (DMP).

The responsibilities of this role encompass the following:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and clients to gather and document business and functional requirements for DMP and BISC deliverables, focusing on data, analytics, and quality outputs.
  • Conduct project coordination tasks, including scheduling meetings, obtaining status updates, and generating status reports.
  • Develop mockups and design specifications for dashboards based on stakeholder input.
  • Facilitate presentations of analytics and dashboards at various development stages and collect feedback from stakeholders.
  • Assist developers and testers in the creation and evaluation of products, ensuring timely responses to stakeholder inquiries.
  • Create training materials for new analytics products and provide training to end users on utilizing these analytics and dashboards.
  • Formulate and implement organizational change management and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with the education department to create resources for end-user self-service training.

It is essential for candidates to reside in Alberta and be Canadian residents to be eligible for this position.

Mandatory Skills and Experience
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience in coordinating project activities.
  • Proficiency in Prototyping and Wireframing.
  • Experience in eliciting requirements for business intelligence and analytics.
  • Strong critical thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills, with the ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team as needed.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to manage stress in a high-expectation environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Understanding of best practices, methodologies, and standards for business intelligence, analytics, and visualizations.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.


Preferred Skills
  • Experience in creating and executing SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence Tools.
  • Skills in data analysis.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) – Kanban Board.


Work Environment

This position offers an 8-month contract with the possibility of a 1-year extension.



Compensation

Hourly rate is negotiable.
