Event Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team at 2284273 Alberta Ltd. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing various events, including conferences, exhibitions, and social gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
  • Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing, and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services.
  • Coordinate media services, set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.
  • Plan and arrange for trade shows and exhibits, and manage event logistics.
  • Plan schedules, goals, and objectives, and plan for social events and guest programs.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in event planning or a related field.
  • Permanent position, 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Google Docs, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word proficiency.
  • Experience in hotel, motel, resort, multi-purpose facilities, and tourism associations.
  • Attention to detail, work under pressure, tight deadlines, and fast-paced environment.
  • Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, and organized.
