Job Title: Full Time Intervenor to Support Deafblind Individuals

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Intervenor to join our team at Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada. As a Full Time Intervenor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are deafblind, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives, including personal care, communication, and daily activities.
  • Use effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate and succeed in all aspects of daily living.
  • Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, ensuring that each person receives the support they need to thrive.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless support and care for individuals.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
  • Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
