Job Summary

As an Independent Contractor, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides services in Foster Homes and the community. You will work with families and individuals to provide scheduled, goal-focused services, develop goal-focused activities, and maintain case notes and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with collaborative team members to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide scheduled, goal-focused services to families and individuals, including developing and implementing goal-focused activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes, reports, and other administrative tasks.
  • Transport children/youth while providing services, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Qualifications
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in a social service discipline (i.e. Child and Youth Care, Developmental Service Worker, etc.) from a recognized college or university.
  • Experience providing services to children/youth and/or families with a variety of needs.
  • Current Crisis Intervention Certification (i.e. UMAB) is an asset.
  • Current CPR/First Aid is required.
  • Knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other diagnoses is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and report-writing skills.
Requirements
  • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (obtained from local Police).
  • Current Child Welfare Record Check (obtained from local Children's Aid Society).
  • Driver's Abstract, Class "G" Driver's License.
  • Access to an insured vehicle with $2 million liability insurance.
  • Computer and personal email address.
