Hours: 35 hours
Salary Range: $58,000 - $64,428
Status: Permanent, Full Time

As PMCF embarks on a historic, comprehensive fundraising initiative, our high-performing Major & Transformational Giving team is expanding, and we are seeking to fill three newly-established Development Associate positions. Each Development Associate will collaborate closely with one or more senior major gift fundraisers, providing extensive support for their fundraising efforts targeting contributions between $100,000 and $1 million+.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a flexible approach to collaboration, showcasing meticulous attention to detail, effective communication skills, and exceptional relationship-building abilities. This role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse array of stakeholders, including medical leaders, clinician partners, donors, and volunteers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating intricate donor meetings
  • Collaborating with the Strategic Insights and Marketing teams to produce comprehensive communication materials, including proposals and impact reports
  • Working alongside physicians and other Cancer Centre personnel in the development of proposals and impact reports
  • Managing the calendar and scheduling for the fundraising lead(s) supported
  • Preparing meeting agendas and briefing notes
  • Drafting correspondence and letters to major gift donors as necessary
  • Building and maintaining a robust understanding of the Cancer Centre and its priorities
  • Assisting in the formulation of Donation Agreements
  • Facilitating effective prospect management through the PMCF's Blackbaud CRM database
  • Supporting fundraisers in developing and managing their fundraising pipelines
  • Responding to requests for information from colleagues, Cancer Centre staff, donors, and volunteers
  • Providing assistance for various donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities

Qualifications:

  • A relevant 3-year degree/diploma or an equivalent combination of formal education and relevant experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in fundraising or administrative support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet tools
  • Experience with Blackbaud CRM, Raiser's Edge, or similar fundraising CRM systems
  • General understanding of fundraising professional standards and ethics
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • A proven ability to problem-solve and manage a variety of assignments with multiple timelines
  • Resourceful and self-motivated while effectively collaborating within a goal-oriented team environment
  • Exhibiting a professional demeanor with evidence of leadership, sound judgment, intuition, tact, and diplomacy
