Role SummaryAs part of our dynamic Major & Transformational Giving team, we are seeking three Development Associates to provide essential support for high-level fundraising initiatives. Each associate will collaborate closely with experienced major gift fundraisers, focusing on contributions ranging from $100,000 to over $1 million.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate complex donor meetings and engagements.
- Collaborate with marketing and strategic insights teams to develop comprehensive communication materials, including proposals and impact reports.
- Work alongside medical professionals and Cancer Centre staff to prepare compelling proposals and reports.
- Manage calendars and scheduling for fundraising leads.
- Draft meeting agendas, briefing notes, and correspondence for major gift donors.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Cancer Centre’s priorities and initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of Donation Agreements.
- Support effective prospect management using the organization's CRM database.
- Facilitate the development and management of fundraising pipelines.
- Respond to inquiries from colleagues, donors, and volunteers.
- Provide assistance for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
- A relevant 3-year degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in fundraising or administrative support roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet tools.
- Familiarity with fundraising CRM systems.
- Strong understanding of fundraising ethics and professional standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and timelines effectively.
- Resourceful and self-motivated, with a collaborative spirit.
