Role Summary

As part of our dynamic Major & Transformational Giving team, we are seeking three Development Associates to provide essential support for high-level fundraising initiatives. Each associate will collaborate closely with experienced major gift fundraisers, focusing on contributions ranging from $100,000 to over $1 million.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate complex donor meetings and engagements.
  • Collaborate with marketing and strategic insights teams to develop comprehensive communication materials, including proposals and impact reports.
  • Work alongside medical professionals and Cancer Centre staff to prepare compelling proposals and reports.
  • Manage calendars and scheduling for fundraising leads.
  • Draft meeting agendas, briefing notes, and correspondence for major gift donors.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Cancer Centre’s priorities and initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of Donation Agreements.
  • Support effective prospect management using the organization's CRM database.
  • Facilitate the development and management of fundraising pipelines.
  • Respond to inquiries from colleagues, donors, and volunteers.
  • Provide assistance for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
Qualifications
  • A relevant 3-year degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in fundraising or administrative support roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet tools.
  • Familiarity with fundraising CRM systems.
  • Strong understanding of fundraising ethics and professional standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and timelines effectively.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated, with a collaborative spirit.
