Role Overview

As ATB's next Market Research and Insights Specialist, you will play a vital role within the business insights team of ATB Advisory Services. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough research on market trends and the competitive landscape, extracting valuable insights from complex datasets, and transforming your findings into clear, actionable insights that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform comprehensive market and competitor analysis; establish and continuously update a portfolio of information sources while identifying new connections.
  2. Analyze both internal and external datasets to gain a deep understanding of client experiences and identify areas for enhancement.
  3. Simplify complex qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable reports and dashboards tailored for diverse audiences.
  4. Ensure the accuracy of research and data findings through cross-referencing, delivering consistently high-quality and error-free outputs.
  5. Collaborate closely with colleagues in analytical and strategic roles to drive impactful business outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. A university degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  2. Strong research skills; adept at quickly identifying relevant and credible sources to assess industry trends and opportunities/challenges.
  3. Proven experience working with both quantitative and qualitative datasets to extract insights and formulate recommendations.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail.
  6. Ability to prioritize effectively and manage time with minimal oversight.
  7. Strong personal accountability to deliver consistently excellent results and integrate feedback into future projects.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  9. Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker is considered an asset.
