Job Summary:

Brandt is seeking a skilled and experienced Leadhand to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing the workload to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workload Coordination: Assist in the assignment of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees, ensuring tasks are allocated based on their skill and knowledge.
  • Repair Order Management: Participate in the appraisal of repair orders, review for accuracy and completeness, and assist in repairs as needed.
  • Technician Support: Direct and assist technicians and apprentices in diagnosing machine problems, and inspect and repair special tools.
  • Customer Communication: Advise the Shop Foreman or Service Manager of customer complaints, and assist in coordinating quarterly safety meetings.
  • Leadership: May fill the Shop Foreman's role in their absence, and assist in providing performance feedback to the Service Manager.
  • Additional Duties: Assist in reconditioning used equipment, setup new equipment, and approve the release of equipment for delivery to customers.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years as a heavy duty service technician, with a Journeyman certificate required.
  • Skills: Ability to work multiple shift patterns, lead others, possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and use standard desktop applications.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
