Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse
- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and performing medical procedures
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements for Success
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Minimum two years of experience in an emergency program
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BCLS) certifications
- Excellent physical assessment skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
