Position: Package Delivery Driver at UPS

UPS is on the lookout for motivated individuals who excel in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, efficiently delivering packages within local communities. The ideal candidates should demonstrate outstanding customer service capabilities alongside strong driving skills.

To qualify, applicants must possess a valid class 5 driver's license or higher issued in Quebec. Package Delivery Drivers are required to comply with UPS's professional appearance standards. As new drivers may service various neighborhoods, familiarity with the local area and map navigation skills are beneficial.

Compensation Overview

  • Starting Hourly Wage: $17.30/h + Bonus $1.70/h
  • Maximum Wage: $32.99/h (upon successful completion of probation and 48-month progression)
  • Weekly payments via direct deposit every Friday
  • Immediate access to UPS 'Employee Discounts' after hiring

Work Schedule

  • Shifts commence between 9 AM and Noon, Monday to Friday
  • Approximately 40 to 45 hours per week
  • Work hours may vary based on daily demands

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg) independently and 150 lbs. (68kg) with assistance
  • Strong skills in map reading and navigation
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 (for insurance purposes)
  • Valid class 5 driver's license required
  • Submission of driver's abstract prior to road test
  • Clean Driver's Abstract: a) No at-fault accidents in the last 3 years b) No traffic violations in the past 12 months
  • Bilingual proficiency is preferred
