We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Middle Market team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, developing and maintaining broker relationships, and supporting the growth of our Middle Market business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring profitable premium and rate goals are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, identifying their marketing and education needs and providing support.
  • Interact directly with insureds, brokers, and producers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality service standards.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to achieve business objectives and support the growth of our Middle Market business.
  • Act as a representative of the company, attending internal and external events and functions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Middle Market insurance, with a strong understanding of insurance product offerings and the Canadian insurance industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain robust insured and broker contacts.
  • Collaborative team player with a creative approach to problem-solving and a customer-focused mindset.
