Opportunity Overview:

The Senior Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the interdisciplinary Home Care team. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative functions of the Health Care Aide team. The incumbent will assist the Health Care Aide Team Lead and RN Case Managers by managing and processing new service authorizations, updating existing service authorizations, and facilitating manual and electronic appointment modifications in the Connect Care system. Additionally, the role involves editing and printing care plans, as well as assigning schedules for Health Care Aides.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Administrative Coordinator, you will utilize advanced administrative skills and specialized knowledge to support intricate procedures and initiatives within the department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate client scheduling documentation.
  • Assisting in managing requests and providing recommendations for available visit times.
  • Coordinating fleet vehicle assignments and maintenance schedules.

This role requires an individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications:

A minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills are essential for effective interpersonal interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands.
  • Experience in scheduling is crucial, with preference given to candidates familiar with electronic scheduling systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
  • Familiarity with electronic scheduling programs is an asset.
New hires will be required to undergo a criminal records check in accordance with relevant regulations. Applications should highlight relevant skills and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Home Care settings is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are essential.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Experience with the Connect Care system is a plus.
