Job Summary

The School District #41 (Burnaby) is seeking a Casual Student Supervisor to work on an on-call basis throughout the district. This position is responsible for supervising students in school buildings and on school grounds during the lunch break in elementary and secondary schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise students in school buildings and on school grounds during the lunch break
  • Build trust and respect with students, and model and reinforce proper behavior and adherence to safety rules
  • Resolve conflicts and provide support to students as needed
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and stand/walk around for a 70-minute shift
Requirements
  • Grade 12 education
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in working with children and/or adolescents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict resolution or non-violent crisis intervention training (an asset)
  • Knowledge of basic first aid (an asset)
What We Offer
