About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Source Energy Services. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our frac sand products and maintaining the highest standards of quality control in our laboratory and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough tests and inspections of products and processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Analyze data and use logical reasoning to identify and address issues and problems.
  • Follow established laboratory best practices and safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and perform routine checks to ensure proper functioning.
  • Document results clearly and accurately, maintaining proper record-keeping for daily production and inspections.
  • Maintain laboratory working areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Perform plant inspections and report any issues or concerns to the shift supervisor.
  • Operate equipment such as skid steer, dingo, telehandler, man lift, loader, etc., and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations and identify any malfunctions.
  • Perform basic plant maintenance duties within scope and assist with special projects as needed.
  • Cross-train in other positions as required and promote a positive company image.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • At least 1 year of previous work history in a laboratory setting, preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics, including percentages and fractions, and use a calculator.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and read, interpret, and apply written procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work well on a team.
