About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Source Energy Services. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our frac sand products and maintaining the highest standards of quality control in our laboratory and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough tests and inspections of products and processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Analyze data and use sound judgment to address issues and problems, requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow established laboratory best practices and safety standards to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, as well as knowledge of how to operate equipment properly.
- Document results clearly and thoroughly, maintaining accurate records for daily production and inspections.
- Maintain laboratory working areas to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Perform plant inspections and report any issues to the shift supervisor.
- Operate equipment, including skid steer, dingo, telehandler, man lift, loader, etc.
- Monitor production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations and identify malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records for daily production and inspection.
- Pull product samples for quality control and adhere to strict quality control standards.
- Assist maintenance with special projects as required.
- Perform basic plant maintenance duties within scope.
- Cross-train in other positions as needed.
- Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of the performance of these duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- At least 1 year of previous work history in a laboratory setting, preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics, including percentages and fractions, as well as the ability to use a calculator.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply written procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work well on a team.
