About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 1st Choice Restoration Group Inc. as a Restoration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the construction and restoration of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-construction and planning: Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations, using measuring tools and computer-aided design (CADD) software.
  • Construction and restoration: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing work: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Project management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, estimate costs and materials, and maintain accurate records.
  • Health and safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Language: English.
  • Work hours: 40 hours per week.
