We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 1st Choice Restoration Group Inc. as a Restoration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the construction and restoration of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-construction and planning: Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations, using measuring tools and computer-aided design (CADD) software.
- Construction and restoration: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing work: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Project management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, estimate costs and materials, and maintain accurate records.
- Health and safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Language: English.
- Work hours: 40 hours per week.
This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and work in various weather conditions.
