Our Finance division operates centrally, overseeing accounting functions for our global facilities. Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Director of External Reporting, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in the preparation and auditing of our consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis, as well as managing the financial reporting for international locations. This position involves researching accounting standards and best practices, ensuring their effective integration into our financial documentation. A focus on continuous improvement will be essential to identify and implement efficiencies in the reporting process.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and consolidate financial data from various general ledgers to prepare external financial statements and regulatory disclosures. Assist in the creation of consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A). Support the development of statutory financial statements and the reporting for foreign entities. Review financial data to ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal controls. Conduct variance analysis on a consolidated basis for financial statements. Stay informed on emerging US GAAP and IFRS regulations, contributing to their adoption and implementation. Research and draft technical accounting memos addressing various accounting issues for internal stakeholders. Collaborate with external and internal auditors to facilitate timely and accurate financial audits.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. CPA designation or anticipated completion of the designation. Minimum of 3 years in a financial accounting capacity. Strong time management skills with a keen attention to deadlines. Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills, both oral and written.

Preferred Attributes:

In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to conduct research (familiarity with US GAAP is advantageous). Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with Oracle systems is a plus.
