About the Role

The Business Controller West Canada is a key member of the finance team, responsible for delivering high-quality financial information to senior management. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting, including budget and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business growth and development.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide training and support to other team members as needed.
Requirements
  • Professional designation (CPA/ master degree in Finance/ business school)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in reporting in a multi-divisional organization, preferably with experience in the construction industry
  • Previous experience with SAP ERP (kheops/E Cube) would be highly appreciated
  • Adeptness in building and implementing reporting systems to meet reporting requirements
  • The ability to assimilate the culture of the business quickly and work effectively in an environment that will require adaptation and change to meet new reporting requirements
  • Desire to work with a team to make system improvements
  • Strong MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables etc.)
  • French language skills would be an asset, but not required
