About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team at our London, Ontario manufacturing facility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for executing various HR initiatives and supporting day-to-day plant HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Develop and execute employee relations plans, provide guidance, and implement best practices.
  • Culture Development: Partner with relevant stakeholders to foster and promote a culture consistent with our company values.
  • Employee Communication: Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to effectively execute employee communication channels.
  • Performance Management: Manage and continuously improve target setting process and ongoing performance review.
  • Recruitment: Support the recruitment of salaried professional employees in collaboration with the Recruiting Team.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with production supervisors to identify employee training and development needs, and implement training programs to address organizational needs.
  • Worker's Compensation: Manage worker's compensation (WSIB) claims with TeksMed and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain all records to ensure regulatory compliance and internal process management.
  • Coaching and Development: Coach supervisors and team leads on progressive discipline and development planning.
  • Merit Pay Review: Support with coordination of annual merit pay review processes for all positions across the plant.
  • Staffing and Headcount: Supports the HR Director with staffing and headcount update, with gathering market competitive salary data, and with execution of the plant safety strategy.
About You
  • Leadership Skills: An approachable, friendly and people-focused leader, who leads through positive influence, coaches, and develops others.
  • Communication Skills: Communicates effectively and executes with excellence.
  • Education and Certifications: Must have a bachelor's degree in business, management, human resources, or other related disciplines. Human resources certification. CHRP or similar designation is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, UKG (Previously Ultimate Pro and Kronos) HRIS.
  • HR Experience: HR experience in a Union environment.
