About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our ISSB Technical Staff team at the IFRS Foundation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality, comprehensive global baseline sustainability disclosures focused on the needs of investors and the financial markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evidence-based research: Conduct research on business risks and opportunities associated with sustainability issues, such as climate, nature and biodiversity, human capital, and human rights.
  • Stakeholder consultation: Engage with external stakeholders from industry and the investment, regulatory and standard-setting communities to ascertain their views and share information.
  • Staff analysis and recommendations: Conduct analysis and develop technical proposals for consideration by the ISSB and its advisory committees, and facilitate their decision-making.
  • Technical papers: Draft due process documents, including research papers, discussion papers, requests for information, exposure drafts, ballot drafts, and standards.
  • Project management: Coordinate a range of activities to support the delivery of technical projects and coordinate across other project work plans.
Requirements
  • Technical knowledge and thinking abilities: Knowledge of the sustainability and financial reporting landscape, including relevant standards, frameworks, and regulations.
  • Managing self and relationships: Enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and remain positive even when faced with challenges.
  • Planning and delivering work: Delegates work effectively and appropriately, organizes and manages own time and work across competing priorities, and sets and adheres to realistic timelines.
  • Effective communications: Communicates in a concise, clear, and well-structured way, presents issues, evidence, analysis, and recommendations in a neutral manner, and drafts and reviews Board papers and due process documents with robust analyses of alternative views.
