Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at STL Facilities Maintenance LTD.

Job Summary:

The Construction Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including conducting regular site inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities, including ordering materials and equipment, and requisitioning supplies.
  • Recruit and hire workers, and conduct related staffing actions.
  • Train or arrange for training of workers, and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Estimate costs and materials, and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, and ensure construction projects are completed according to plans.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and ensure they are delivered to the site on time.
  • Leading/instructing individuals, including providing guidance and direction to workers.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a construction supervisory role.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
  • Organized, reliable, and a team player.
Work Environment:

The Construction Site Supervisor will work outdoors, in a dusty environment, and will be required to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.

Work Setting:

The Construction Site Supervisor will work in a construction setting, and will be required to work with a variety of tradespeople and equipment.
