About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker I to join our team at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services in Coquitlam, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop intervention plans for clients with complex mental health and substance use issues.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and community partners to facilitate service coordination.
- Support clients in crisis situations and provide education and counseling to promote healthy coping mechanisms.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Minimum one year of recent experience working in a healthcare setting with the designated population group.
- Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
