Job Title: Social Worker I

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker I to join our team at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services in Coquitlam, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop intervention plans for clients with complex mental health and substance use issues.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate care coordination and ensure seamless transitions for clients.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Support clients in navigating healthcare systems and accessing community resources.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience working in a healthcare setting with the designated population group.
  • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
