Position Overview

The role involves the collection and evaluation of marketing, client, industry, and competitive data to identify advertising and media requirements pertinent to the client's DEI initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehend marketing goals and strategies, along with the relationship between consumers and products, as well as media.
  • Assess various media options and provide multi-channel recommendations to optimize budget allocation, ensuring the development of inclusive and effective media strategies.
  • Oversee campaign execution, ensuring quality control aligns with overall media objectives and preparing performance reports.
  • Utilize syndicated media, research, and other data resources to cater to diverse audiences.
  • Communicate media objectives, strategies, and guidelines clearly to internal teams including Investment, Social, Programmatic, Precision, Apex, and Search.
  • Present strategic plans to the client brand group with support from the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Foster strong relationships with diverse media suppliers and remain informed about market dynamics and demographic shifts in Canada.
  • Collaborate closely with external agency partners.
  • Actively participate in account status meetings, both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the development of Points of View (POVs) related to DEI opportunities.
  • Engage in the billing and financial processes, ensuring accurate tracking of budgets and monthly client invoicing.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications.
  • Experience with media partners that engage diverse and inclusive audiences in Canada is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation capabilities.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams while managing a high volume of work and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in mathematics.
  • Effective use of media research and reporting tools.
  • Technical proficiency, especially with media systems and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
