Client Care Specialist - Veterinary Services

Location: Calgary, AB

VCA Canada is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Client Care Coordinator to enhance our team at Dalhousie Varsity Animal Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organized and motivated individual to play a vital support role within our facility. In this position, you will ensure that our clients and their pets feel valued and cared for.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a background in customer service and administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and experience with VCA Woofware is advantageous.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are essential; you should have a natural ability to comfort pets and their owners, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Proficiency in managing a multiline phone system and effectively scheduling appointments is required.
  • Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, admitting and discharging animal patients, and handling invoicing and billing processes.
  • Candidates should demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • A certificate in Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) is considered an asset.
  • General housekeeping duties are expected, including maintaining cleanliness in the reception area and other common spaces.
  • A willingness to learn about veterinary services and assist the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments is essential.
  • A genuine love for all companion animals is a must.
