Industrial Project Management Lead

WSP is currently seeking a Project Manager with a proven track record in overseeing projects and leading teams to bolster the growth of our Industrial & Resources division. This role will focus on managing small to medium-sized projects alongside high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of project execution, ensuring adherence to cost and schedule benchmarks as outlined in the Project Execution Plan.
- Implement established Project Procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Guarantee that all deliverables, including plans, reports, and drawings, meet the required quality and timeline standards.
- Monitor project progress and evaluate earned value metrics, making informed decisions based on both commercial and technical insights.
- Plan and issue all project documentation, including specifications and bid summaries, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Keep management apprised of emerging risks related to technical, schedule, or quality aspects.
- Deliver engineering projects in alignment with client expectations and industry best practices.
- Identify changes in project scope and communicate these to clients, submitting necessary change requests prior to work execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation efforts.
- Support the implementation of the company's environmental health and safety programs at the project level.
- Document and report lessons learned from previous projects and phases.
- Assist in Business Development activities, including proposal preparation and client relationship management.
- Conduct regular site visits to client facilities.
- Engineering degree with P.Eng. designation.
- 6-10 years of experience in a consulting role, particularly with Mining and/or Industrial clients.
- Experience managing capital projects ranging from $100,000 to $20M.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Self-motivated individual seeking growth opportunities within an expanding office.
- Able to effectively engage with clients in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to client sites across North America.
