The Senior Technical Analyst plays a crucial role in understanding intricate business challenges and leveraging technical expertise to devise actionable solutions that yield significant business value.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Formulating and executing technical strategies and frameworks for software development initiatives. Offering technical support and mentorship to team members. Ensuring compliance with best practices, standards, and regulatory guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining system solutions. Creating and sustaining comprehensive technical and functional documentation. Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes. Assessing emerging technologies and methodologies to improve software development processes and capabilities.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Over 5 years of experience in software development, preferably within the financial services sector. Strong technical proficiency in software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies. Familiarity with OpenEdge ABL (Progress 4GL) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Comprehensive understanding of Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSP) and Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP), including eligibility criteria, contributions, and associated government grants and bonds.Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge and expertise in software development and frameworks pertinent to the financial services industry. Proven track record in developing and integrating APIs for data interchange utilizing RESTful services. In-depth understanding of mutual fund operations and business processes. Experience with government-registered plans and relevant financial regulations. Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex software challenges effectively. Excellent communication skills with the capability to convey technical concepts clearly. Proficient in technical writing and maintaining organized documentation.Please note: Current work authorization for Canada is mandatory for all positions.
