About the Role

Fairy Sweet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and production of our sweet goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and pastries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recipe Development and Execution: Develop and implement new recipes and production methods to ensure high-quality products and efficient production processes.
  • Team Management: Lead and train a team of pastry chefs and production staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to produce high-quality products.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available when needed.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all products meet our high standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair equipment to ensure that it is in good working order and to prevent downtime.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed and that the workplace is safe and clean.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry production environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.
Work Environment

Fairy Sweet is a dynamic and fast-paced bakery environment. As a Bakery Operations Manager, you will be working in a team environment with a focus on producing high-quality products. You will be required to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
