Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Trimac Transportation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel "heavy-duty" trucks, as well as chemical trailers and dry bulk units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel "heavy-duty" trucks, including computer diagnostics, emissions system repairs, and transmission/clutch/linkage work.
  • Conduct trailer repair duties, including checking running gear, brakes, tires/wheels, air systems, suspension, electrical systems, and lights.
  • Change/fix tires and wheels as needed.
Requirements
  • Red Seal certification is an asset.
  • CVIP/SGI Certification is an asset.
  • Two years verifiable mechanic experience.
  • Operation of hand and air tools.
  • Previous experience with all types and makes of tractors and trailers heavy-duty diesel trucks.
