Truck Mechanic Position Overview

  • Examine and evaluate mechanical units to identify faults and issues
  • Analyze work orders
  • Assess automotive systems and components
  • Modify, repair, or substitute parts and components of automotive systems
  • Modify, repair, or substitute parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Fix or replace mechanical units or components
  • Evaluate and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance services
  • Assess and adjust units to specifications
  • Inform clients about work completed and future repair needs
  • Document issues and work performed in reports
