Job Summary

Saskatoon Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Trailer Repair: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, including suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Estimation and Scheduling: Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and schedule maintenance services to minimize downtime.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain and repair company-owned tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work in a team.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, flexible, judgmental, reliable, and a team player.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.

This is a permanent, full-time position that involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
