Job Summary

Saskatoon Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including truck-trailer systems.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Estimation and Scheduling: Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and schedule maintenance service as needed.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain and ensure the availability of steel-toed safety boots and other necessary tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, flexible, with good judgement and reliability.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30 to 40 hour work week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
