About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at FONTAINE SITE SERVICES INC. as a Site Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the site is safe and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from the site.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites to prepare the site for construction.
  • Level Earth and Pave Asphalt: Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt to ensure a smooth and even surface.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing debris from the site.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from the site to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Tend or Feed Machines: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to ensure they are running efficiently.
Work Environment

As a Construction Laborer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work outdoors, underground, and in noisy and dusty conditions. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience an asset or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
