Job Title: Teacher
Job Summary:
CAHRD Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development Inc. is seeking a qualified Teacher to join our team at the Aboriginal Community Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering in-class instruction to Indigenous adult learners in various subjects, including Humanities, Math, Science, and Academic Prep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum materials to meet the needs of students.
- Deliver instruction to students through lectures, discussions, and other teaching methods.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education Degree and Manitoba Provincial Teaching Certificate.
- 1-2 years of teaching experience preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Indigenous adult learners.
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and its application in adult learning environments.
- Ability to provide effective experiential learning opportunities.
