About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of our HSE Management System and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HSE plans and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, visitors, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate HSE risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Joint Venture partners, clients, and government agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Prepare and submit reports on HSE performance and compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a senior HSE professional.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in navigating public and private sector working environments and collaborating with different stakeholders and partners.
  • Relevant experience on a multi-provincial project.
  • Thorough understanding of Occupational HSE Act and Regulations of Ontario and Quebec.
