Responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing transformation initiatives that significantly impact the organization, such as major technology deployments, substantial changes in business processes, and organizational restructuring.
- Ensuring adherence to methodologies, standard processes, and tools established by the Canadian Transformation Office (CTO) throughout all phases of transformation projects, from initiation to completion.
- Defining and executing detailed project management plans that outline clear objectives, timelines, responsibilities, risks, and communication strategies.
- Implementing project information management tools and methodologies to guarantee precise documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Acting as a leader to promote collaboration among cross-functional teams, departments, and business units to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Customizing processes and strategies to align with the unique characteristics and objectives of each transformation initiative, while maintaining a focus on a people-centric approach.
- Reporting on key project milestones, achievements, and risks to the CTO.
Qualifications include:
- A proven track record in delivering and managing multidisciplinary projects, with skills and experience in schedule, quality, risk, and information management.
- Experience in strategic/corporate and technology/systems project management, as well as in merger and acquisition (M&A) projects.
- Experience in the engineering field is considered an asset.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with experience in managing, motivating, and developing strong relationships.
- Proficiency in using people-centric language to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, tailoring communication styles to ensure clarity and understanding.
- Ability to present technical information in a compelling and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Capacity to lead through influence and collaborate with various stakeholders, including technical, functional, and executive roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, along with PMI Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent certification or experience.
