About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our Mental Health and Well-being team at the school level. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to provide a safe and supportive environment for students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group support to students to promote their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address student needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student interactions and progress.
Requirements
  • Completion of a three-year, post-secondary diploma in a Child and Youth Care program or equivalent.
  • Up to three months related employment or volunteer experience with children.
  • First aid, CPR, and intervention strategies certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of community agencies and organizations.
