About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at A Child's World Family Child Care Services of Niagara. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Assist in developing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records.
  • Support Services: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate knowledge of licensing regulations and ensure compliance in all aspects of childcare.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, creativity, honesty, and ability to multitask.
