Position Overview: A Child and Youth Worker (CYW) plays a vital role within the Mental Health and Well-Being team at the educational institution level.

Primary Responsibilities:
To enhance the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students, the following duties are essential:
  • Implement intervention strategies and facilitate suitable community referrals;
  • Utilize a collaborative approach to ensure students receive professional and confidential support.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
  • A three-year post-secondary diploma in a Child and Youth Care program or a related field;
  • Up to three months of relevant work or volunteer experience with children;
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, and intervention techniques;
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal abilities;
  • Familiarity with community resources and organizations;
  • Basic knowledge of relevant technology and software.
Work Locations: Candidates must be willing to travel across various locations within the jurisdiction of the Niagara Catholic District School Board.
Work Hours: Hours will vary based on the needs of the organization, with a casual on-call schedule for long-term placements. Availability is required Monday to Friday during school hours.
